FLIP is an NDIS-registered provider and youth mentoring service that empowers young people to reach their potential. While their logo and core service offering were strong, their previous website was a basic template that failed to reflect their expertise, lacked branding consistency, and was riddled with broken links and stock imagery. So the challenge for us was to create a modern, engaging website that captured FLIP’s creative identity, better showcased their community work, and provided a smooth, supportive user journey for their primary audience of parents and guardians.
We worked closely with FLIP’s stakeholders to understand their goals, competitors, and design preferences. Through gathering requirements from documents, in-person and virtual meetings, and open communication, we mapped out both the functionality and style needed to set them apart in their sector. From there, we designed a bright, retro-inspired website that reflected their tagline, “helping people through the maze of life.” We also introduced a logical content structure and incorporated tailored features to improve usability.
Website Design
The new website balanced vibrancy with professionalism, appealing directly to guardians while staying accessible to younger audiences. Using bold yellow and teal colours with a modern-retro style, we built out cohesive branding elements like diagonal lines, spray-paint details, and rounded imagery. We also ensured logical content flow with prominent CTAs, with clean typography, and the integration of the NDIS logo to reinforce trust.
UI & UX Design
Our design focused heavily on creating an engaging, interactive experience. The FLIP logo adapts dynamically on scroll, while slideshows, hover effects, and black-and-white-to-colour transitions keep the site visually alive. The content was later structured into digestible paragraphs with large fonts for readability, while vertical scrolling animations added energy. Finally, the site was fully optimised for mobile to ensure accessibility across devices.
Integrations
To support FLIP’s community-driven services, we built tailored integrations that improved communication and visibility. These included direct-call buttons, enquiry forms designed to capture client needs, social media links, and dedicated testimonial and success story pages to highlight positive outcomes.
Project Handover
After launch, we provided a comprehensive handover to FLIP’s team. This included backend training sessions, a step-by-step training manual, and two months of ongoing support to ensure the team could confidently manage content updates.
Ongoing Support & Digital Marketing
Beyond launch, our partnership with FLIP extended into digital marketing and technical maintenance. We implemented SEO enhancements such as meta title and description optimisation, on-page and off-page strategies, and continuous website performance monitoring. Support also included 24/7 security, bug fixing, SSL certification, Google Cloud hosting, and general website maintenance. These efforts strengthened FLIP’s visibility, performance, and long-term growth online.
