Capital Nordic Walking wanted to appeal to a wider audience demographic with a new and improved website. Accessibility and usability were key factors in the development of the website. Focus areas were to ensure that people of all ages and backgrounds could learn about what is Nordic Walking and how to get involved, and making it simple for people to book sessions.
We worked closely with stakeholders at Capital Nordic Walking to understand their vision for the new website. We worked with them to understand their requirements and how to reach their audience. We had open communication with the Capital Nordic Walking team throughout the project and had ongoing meetings to ensure we were delivering with the exact vision they sought.
The new website was completely restructured to allow the audience to easily read and understand relevant information about Nordic Walking in a short amount of time. We created a new design to represent the branding of Capital Nordic Walking well, and reflect the health benefits that they provide to current and potential clients.
We needed to engage Capital Nordic Walking’s audience whenever they came to their site. We implemented user experience features designed to enhance the site experience for the audience and make the booking process easier.
Once the website went live, we supported Capital Nordic Walking’s new website for 2 months. We also continued to work with them for basic SEO, transitioning work from the previous website through to the new one. We provided ongoing support including 24/7 monitoring and bug fixing. Project handover also included backend training for staff to manage changes in the website easily on their own.
